An American entertainer, Bob Keeshan once said that

“Play is the work of children. It’s very serious stuff”

We take play provision in a safe and supervised environment very seriously. For over 40 years, Marble Hill Playcentres has been providing children and young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities with a unique, exciting and safe environment to play, explore, be active and get messy. Our Adventure Playground (over 5’s), One O’Clock Club (under 5’s) and SENsational Saturday Club (for children with additional needs), provide an opportunity for children to develop and express themselves in a safe, independent, stimulating space.

Marble Hill Playcentres is a voluntary organisation and registered charity located in the beautiful surroundings of Marble Hill Park, Twickenham. Once a Council-funded facility, Marble Hill Playcentres became a charity 17 years ago when funding was sadly stopped, and since then has been reliant on the generosity and support of volunteers, users and the local community to keep operating.

We continue to provide free passes to low income families and together with our invaluable SENsational Saturday Club – both initiatives reflect our aim to keep this unique facility open for as many local children to enjoy as possible.

KEY INFO

40 Years of Play at Marble Hill Playcentres

We want all ages from every part of the borough to continue to enjoy and benefit from our safe and beautiful space and most importantly, as Bob Keeshan would say, for children to continue their work.
